Athlete Testimonials:
"I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember and I can say with the utmost confidence that I have never met an individual so devoted to their job. From early morning runs and lifts (before class) to the long hours spent on the road, in season, Nicks positive attitude never faltered. He was the encouragement that so many of us needed when games or runs didn’t go our way. Whatever we needed, Nick was there to help in whatever way he could. Whether that was completing runs along side us or a simple message checking in, Nick was there. To find an individual who is so passionate about whatever they set their mind to is becoming more and more rare. Working with Nick these past two years has really opened my eyes to that. Though he was only with us for two years Nick was always driven and passionate about his work. It is for that reason, all 33 of us were committed and worked hard. He pushed us hard and I am forever grateful for that. He has shown me that with the right mindset and preparation, anything is possible (especially those 45yd shuttles). Nick poured so much into us that it became so easy to work hard, in return, to make him proud! Nick has truly left his mark on our program and we’re so very blessed to have had the chance to have had him as a leader.
For many it is just a job but for Nick it is so much bigger, so much more!"

"The first things that comes to mind when I think about Nick is how knowledgeable and dedicated he is to his job. The amount of time, energy, and effort that Nick put in during his time at Maryland is admirable. He knew how to keep us motivated, healthy, safe, and the best athletes that we could be. Not only did our entire team become faster and stronger, but we also grew more competitive and relentless. Nick went well beyond his job description and was there for us in any way he could be. Whether it was making sure we were hydrated or making us laugh on a hard day, Nick was there. His attention to detail, personalized workouts, and ability to analyze our data transformed our team as athletes. I became faster and stronger than I ever thought was possible in 2 years. I can confidently say that Nick is one of the few trainers out there that cares this much and works this hard at his job. It was a privilege to be coached by Nick and anyone who has the opportunity to learn from him in the future is extremely lucky."

"Working with Nick at Maryland has made a noticeable impact on my development as a field hockey athlete. As our strength and conditioning coach, he played a key role in improving my overall performance, specifically in areas like speed, strength, agility, and footwork. Through 1-on-1 sessions, I saw clear progress in how I moved and competed on the field. One of Nick's strengths is his ability to break down each drill or movement and the purpose behind it. That kind of detail helped me understand how every session contributed to game day performance and gave us a real edge in competition. Nick brings a high level of energy and focus to every session. He knows how to push athletes to perform at their best. His ability to keep us motivated, especially during tough training blocks made a real difference in staying consistent and locked in throughout the season. Nick also made a point to learn the technical and tactical demands of field hockey, which made his training even more relevant and specific to our game. His professionalism, preparation, and ability to adapt to the needs of the team and individual athletes stood out throughout the season. For any athlete, especially those in field hockey, looking to improve movement quality, speed, and on field performance, I'd highly recommend working with Nick. His approach is intentional, results driven and backed by a strong understanding of athletic development."

"I have never met someone with more passion about their job, than Nick! He truly demonstrates the passion and motivation he has for himself, his athletes, and the sports that he works with. As a Division 1 lacrosse player, I had the amazing opportunity to work with him for 2 years. He taught me more than I could have ever imagined and showed me what hard work really looked like. He challenged me in so many ways physically and mentally, and supported me to reach the goals that I needed to reach. Nick was always there for every single one of his athlete’s no matter the circumstances. It was truly an honor and pleasure to get the opportunity to work with Nick as my strength and conditioning coach! I will always be forever grateful and thankful, for what he has taught me. "

"I can honestly say I’ve never met anyone as passionate about women’s sports and performance as Nick Greyno. His dedication to his craft is unparalleled, and it’s reflected in his constant pursuit of education and improvement. Working with Nick was a game changer for me, both in terms of strength and speed.Under his guidance, I saw incredible results, gaining muscle each semester he worked with our team. In just one off-season, I gained 8 pounds of muscle, which was a testament to his knowledge of how to train women’s bodies effectively. My speed also improved significantly, increasing by nearly a full mile per hour in just one semester.
Nick doesn’t just focus on reaching the minimum requirements as a strength coach; he has made significant efforts to understand women’s health, biomechanics, and how to tailor training to our unique needs. This level of expertise sets him apart and ensures that every athlete is built to get the best results while keeping them healthy and performing at their peak.
It has been an honor to work with someone so committed to helping athletes reach their full potential. I have no doubt that anyone who works with Nick will experience a complete transformation in their athletic abilities."

"I worked with Nick Greyno at the University of Maryland during my freshman year on the women’s lacrosse team when he was our strength and conditioning coach, and I can confidently say that he was one of the most important assets to our team. Not only did he care deeply for all of us, he trained us like athletes and kept us accountable everyday. His lifts were very deliberate for each day, whether we were on a deload, high intensity, or high volume. Through his speed and conditioning training, I saw a significant difference in my lateral quickness and endurance. Nick did everything with intention by using data to indicate our loads from each day. This would help prevent injuries significantly and made sure our bodies don’t get overworked. Most importantly, Nick leads by example and is the hardest worker I’ve ever met so for that he will always be a huge inspiration."

"Nick was a very determined, detailed and committed coach for our team. He was always there when you had questions, wanted extra work, or just to have a conversation. He pushed us to our limits everyday and you could see the results of his hard work he put into his athletes. I got faster and better in one season just by doing nicks workouts and extra work with him. He is awesome and I will definitely miss him being at Maryland!"

-Maci Bradford, University of Maryland Field Hockey

"Coach Greyno demonstrates passion for every athlete and sport he works with. I was a Division 1 swimmer when I trained with him and reached goals I didn’t know I had. His knowledge, determination, and dedication to see his athletes succeed are unmatched. He not only challenged me physically, but also supported me mentally through injuries and setbacks to make me stronger than I was before."

-Kara, TCU Swim

"As my senior season at TCU was finishing up, there was a coaching staff change with football and strength and conditioning. I went to the new staff and asked for someone to help me train for the next couple months with pro day approaching. I was not a player recruited with the new strength staff so I was hopeful someone would be open to helping me. Nick was the only one who agreed to work with me without hesitation even though we had just met. We got to work right away. He put me through intense training in a strategic program for a couple months which helped me get prepared for my pro day. Nick is selfless and truly cares about his clients. He is knowledgeable, encouraging, consistent, and dependable. I was able to get faster, stronger, and more explosive with Nick’s short period of training. He supported me in my training as well as off the field by coming to family events such as my draft party and wedding. Nick is an incredible guy with professional skills and experience. I highly recommend him to anyone."

-Antonio, TCU Football

"I was lucky to have Nick Greyno as our strength and conditioning coach at the University of Maryland. He played a huge role in helping me develop into a more complete athlete. Playing field hockey is one thing, but being fit, fast, and strong enough to compete at the D1 level is what truly makes the difference.
When I transferred from my previous university, I used to be one of the slower players. I still remember telling Nick on day one during the summer that my sprint form was terrible and look at me now!
I’m proud to say I’ve become one of the fastest on the team. With his summer packets, speed sessions, lift programs and his motivation and guidance every single person on the field hockey team improved their speed score this spring which says a lot about him.
If you’re willing to give 100% and truly commit and trust the process, Nick will bring the best out of you. He genuinely cares about his athletes. He’s always open to helping out with an extra lift, quick to adapt your training if you’re injured, and, what’s rare, he knows when not to push you. That balance of intensity and care is what sets him apart.
If you’re ready to become the best athlete you can be, Nick is your guy."

"Recovering from a substantial injury, Nick not only helped me come back physically stronger, but also more confident mentally. What sets Nick apart is the way he genuinely gets to know his athletes. He takes the time to understand our individual needs, researches how to help us perform at our very best, and customizes his approach based on what each person needs most. Everything he did with us had a clear intention and he always explained the “why” behind what we were doing. His depth of knowledge in strength and conditioning is heightened by his commitment to constantly learning more so he always brings his best to the table."
